The Herbeumont castle is one of the most impressive Belgian sites belonging to the major heritage of Wallonia. Built on a shale hill, it dominates on the one hand the village of Herbeumont and on the other the isthmus of a long meander of the Semois named Tombeau du Chevalier. Its ruins were renovated in 2010 and since offer the visitor "the true face of a 13th century fortification"
